What is this all about?
101 Distractions from Depression, Self-harm (and other Soul-destroyers) is a book designed to help you fight your way out of mental illness by introducing simple, yet effective distractions.
The idea is not to simply pretend everything is OK: it is to give your mind a break from the constant negativity you find yourself with, so that you can change those bad habits and learn to appreciate some of the more positive things in life. Often you may find it impossible to even think of one idea to distract yourself with, and perhaps fail to see how such ideas may help anyway.
Every single one of the 101 distractions I’ve written about have worked for me, and are explained in a way so that you can understand the benefits when applied to your own circumstances. Ultimately, if these distractions can stave off mental illness even for a moment, then they are worth a shot, right?
